During the initial years from inception in 1961, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad [IIMA] highly collaborated with Harvard Business school.
IIMA forms part of the Manchester of the east, which is the political and commercial state if the Indian state of Gujarat. The building was architected by Louis Khan.
IIMA boasts of fully furnished single and married accommodations equipped with internet connectivity, PC and telephone connections. The library houses about 150000 books, 45000 volumes of periodicals, 600+ subscribed journals, 600 educational CDs, 2000 working papers/dissertations and 40 electronic databases.
